She then continued her studies at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, earning a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After graduation, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency through New York University Langone. A valuable experience that allowed her to expand her dental knowledge while aiding underserved populations in south King County.

In her practice, Dr. Tran believes every patient should be empowered with the knowledge to be actively involved in their individual treatment plan. She hopes to inspire all of her patients towards a healthier life.

Dr. Tran is a member of the Seattle King County Dental Society, the Washington State Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

In her free time, Dr. Tran likes to keep active by running, hiking, and snowboarding.

Katie Gustafson, DDS

Dr. Katie Gustafson is a true local, born and raised in Kirkland, Washington. A “Double Dawg,” she completed both her Bachelor’s of Science in Physiology and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Washington. During her studies, she developed a specific interest in dental imaging and was selected for the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) to conduct research in dental radiology. Her work was later presented at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR).

She views dentistry as the perfect blend of her two passions: science and art. Dr. Katie Gustafson takes pride in bringing a meticulous, artistic eye to her dental work, a skill she hones through her love for drawing, painting, and anything creative. She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and is dedicated to making every patient visit as relaxing and stress free as possible. She believes in clear communication and strives to ensure her patients feel comfortable and empowered throughout their care.

When she isn’t at the clinic, you can find her embracing her “homebody” side. A self-described tea enthusiast, she loves curling up with a good book or podcast, working on an art project, or settling in for a session of Stardew Valley. She loves relaxing at home with her husband and their two favorite companions: Daphne the dog and Mo the cat.
